Pool of Enchantment

"Pool of Enchantment", 2010, 5 minutes 25 seconds.

I used my stuffed dog that I've had for many years in order to connect this video with the aspects of innocence and childhood.  There is a part of me that still enjoys many things that were a part of my childhood, and making this video allowed me to get the work done, while using my imagination and having fun at the same time.

If Only I Could Fly

"If Only I Could Fly", 2010, 6 minutes 44 seconds.

I used humor and strange movements/actions to bring life and excitement to this video.  The rush that goes through your body when you see that I'm about to jump off the bench is connected to the rush I think I would feel if I were able to fly in the air.

From A Dream

“From a Dream”, 2010, 53 seconds.

Using a “dream” effect helps this video to be more effective.  By moving from the window of my dorm to the sidewalk outside, I was able to successfully generate the feeling of finally escaping or “freedom”.

The "Must Haves" of December

“The ‘Must Haves’ of December”, 2010.

This image ‘disgustingly’ shows how most people feel during the wintertime.  These things get us through the season, help us to feel better, and avoid getting any worse.

You Got Served

“You Got Served”, 2010.

This image take me back to my favorite movie, “You Got Served” (2004).  This image is a replica of a scene where one of the main characters is dancing in the rain after a serious injury in order to get strong again.  I enjoy this scene because it helps me when I get unmotivated and start to think that things are impossible.

Painting the Sunlight

This image is a more simplistic image, composed of a light source shining on small paints in a cup and a paintbrush.  It gives the still life a more innocent and child-like feel, which connects to my “inner-child”.

My Favorite Things

This image displays things that I appreciate having in my life.  Using this still life, I put together shoes, technology, and a cross to show a little  of who I am.
